Doodling with Stencil to Create Faux Wax Seals with a Bonus Card

Hello! Welcome back to the BPM blog. I am so glad you are here. Today's project features one of the many creative ways in using a stencil. I hope you like it.

Aside from mushrooms, I noticed the emergence of wax seals in the crafting world. I have eyes on the tools and supplies needed to create wax seals but decided to go with the non-conventional way of creating it since I am not sure how committed I will be with this craft. I settled with the alternative way of creating wax seals with the use of a die and an embossing powder.

The stencil I am using is the Blank Page Muse Cute Mushrooms Stencil. I traced the mushrooms using gold glitter gel pens with various tips. I added details to the mushrooms with dots and lines.

I die cut the doodled mushrooms with a wax seal die set. I adhered the layers together. I added ultra thick clear embossing powder to the layered wax seal die cut to add shine.

These fax wax seals can be adhered to the back of the envelope with any type of glue. It can also be used to embellish a card.

I had a lot of left over circle die cuts  from die cutting the layers of the wax seal. Instead of putting these circles inside my bin of circle die cuts, I created a matching card for the wax seals.

I used the same technique of tracing the mushrooms on the stencil and doodling on it for details. I used one of the stamps from the Scribble & Scratch Mixed Media Set 2 to add a subtle background design to the card base.

I love it when I end up with a 2-for-1 project!
