Dragonfly Journal Page

Hello and welcome to another tutorial. I am Suzette, a guest designer here at Blank Page Muse. In today's tutorial, I am going to show you how to make a journal page using the small dragonfly stamp by Pam Bray Designs. The optional theme this month is nature and I think a dragonfly is one of the most beautiful creatures in nature.

The supplies I used in this project are:

Follow the steps below:

Step one:

Apply the texture paste to the journal page. Work in a random pattern leaving lines and peaks. When the texture paste is dry, add some watercolor paints to the page. Allow that to dry.

Step two:

Stamp the dragonfly onto the white card stock with embossing ink. Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat until it is melted.

Step three:

Using watercolor paints, fill in the white areas of the dragonfly. Highlight any areas with a black gel pen or pigment pen. Cut out and set aside.

Step four:
Stamp "Happiness is..." on white cardstock using black pigment ink. Cut off the word happiness, go around the edges with the ink also, and set aside.

Step five:
Gather your dragonfly, corrugated cardboard strip, handmade paper, black card stock, and the word "happiness." Decide how you want to layer them and where you want to glue them.

Step six:
Attach each layer with glue and use foam tape to attach the dragonfly. Stick it onto your journal page.

    Your finished page.
