Striped Card Design Using Border Stamps

Hello! Welcome back to the BPM blog. I am so glad you are here. Cutting strips of paper and incorporating it to the card design is pretty much on trend these days. This technique is showcased in today's card. To step it up, I added a border design to each strip.

I used the Blank Page Muse Beyond the Border Mixed Media clear stamp set on this card. I used all of the 5 border stamps included in the set. After I chose the colors of cardstock for my striped design, I heat embossed each border stamp to the cardstock. I used a pearl powder for embossing powder which adds a subtle but elegant look to the stamped impression.

I glued the strips on a scrap piece of paper. I made sure that each strip is butted to the next one so that is looks like one continuous piece of paper. I die cut this into a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel.

A bold sentiment and gem embellishments completes this card.

I encourage you to look into your stash and use those border stamps to create a striped panel design.

I hope you like today's project. Please visit my blog, Maria Giselle's Creative Cuts, for more details.
