Cactus Card

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view our creations. It is with great happiness that at bring to you a card that is perfect for sending to that loved one far away. Using this cute cactus stamp from the set of three stamps named: Potted Cactus & Succulents

 Supply list:

Instructions:
Cut craft color cardstock to the size of your card. Trim olive green cardstock 1/4" smaller than your base card size. Cut white watercolor paper 1/2" smaller than your card base. This will create a nice boarder around your top layer (white watercolor).
Pick two to three colors from your watercolor markers to match the craft color and olive green cardstock. Variation: If you don't have watercolor markers, use whatever you have on hand. Ideas of what you can use in their place are regular watercolor paints, distress inks, oxide distress inks.
Scribble the colors on to your watercolor paper. Try to center these.

With a brush, take a bit of clean water and run it over your colors. This will blend and disperse the colors in the center of your watercolor paper. Set this aside to dry or use a heat tool to accelerate the drying time.
Once the paper has dried, stamp the cactus stamp with black ink on top of the watercolor design you just created.
Using the help of your computer, print out the sentiment: "I feel lonely without you". Cut it out as a strip using the help of a crafter's knife and ruler.
Adhere the strip with the sentiment under the cactus. Try to not cover the cactus or the watercolor you have created.

Go ahead and glue this top layer of the watercolor paper on to the olive green cardstock.

Using the corner punch, punch out the corners. You can now place the top layer inside these slots to hold this first layer. You can secure it by adding liquid glue to the back of it.
*Variation: If you do not have this corner punch, you can skip this step or ad a different kind of corner decor.

To finish the card, add some Sea Breeze NUVO drops in different parts of the card to mimic teardrops.

This completes this sweet card. I hope you get inspired, I hope you create, and be happy.
