Embossing Powder Resist

Hello, today I will share a tutorial using embossing as a resist. Embossing powders act a resist which is great! That means you can use your rubber stamps to create masterpieces. In this particular project you will be using a clear embossing powder, along with your stamps from Blank Page Muse.

The stamps used from Blank Page Muse are:

Spiral Snail Shell Art Rubber Stamp
Fish Side View Rubber Stamp

Other supplies used are:

watercolor paper
white cardstock
embossing ink pad
clear embossing powder
watercolor paint
Versafine Black Ink Pad
Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray Ink -Ponderosa Pine
White Posca Pen
black marker
gluestick
make up sponge

Using the shell stamp and embossing ink, stamp several shells all over the paper. Cover with clear embossing powder. Shake of excess and use a heat gun to heat.

Paint the entire paper with watercolor paint. Look at those shells popping through!

While that is drying, stamp several fish images on white cardstock and cut them out.

Add some ink splatters to your watercolor background with Lindy's Stamp Gang Ink.

Glue the fish in place.

Add some white circles with your Posca Pen and outline them with a black marker.

To finish off, darken the edges with a make up sponge and black ink. That was so easy!

Here are some close-ups.
