Getting ready for Dad's Day!

Hello All Lanette Here!

Today I'm going to share a quick Fathers Day card with you... Hint Hint Fathers Day is rapidly approaching.....

Here is my finished card:
then I will show you how I mad it :)

Sin City Supplies Used: Steampunk'd & For Him Collection

Other Supplies Used: Ranger -  Archival Ink, Embossing Powder, Distress Stain, Distress Ink & Blending Tool, Spare Parts, Glossy Accents,  Kaisercraft Pattern Paper & Pearl

Now lets look at my process......

First I started by building my cards background, by randomly stamping the background with a mix of stamps from the For Him Collection. To keep the patter n random I continued stamping until the ink was removed from the stamp rather than inking after each image.

Next it was time for some color. Using my craft mat as a plate I laid down a mix of Distress Stains. After spraying my cardstock with a bit of water I dragged my tag through the color creating that fabulous vintage background.

After my cardstock was dry I  added a fun Steampunk'd stamp I used Archival Ink because its waterproof and I always stamp on a foam pad to help ensure my images come out clear. Additionally I re-stamped the clock do I could cut and place the "White Clock face" and the Title "Father" form the For Him Collection.

Finally it was time to add a few bits and pieces, a mix of ussy cut flowers from an old Kaisercraft collection, a verse stamp from the For Him Collection. Also I covered the white clock face with a bit of Glossy Accents to a bit of a pop.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

  1. This is a super card, especially for the men. These seem so much more difficult for us ladies to do, but you made it look so easy. TFS the how-to's.
