Getting A Head Start on Stamping for the Holidays

Hi everyone! Peg here today as a guest designer for Sin City Stamps.  Are you like me and seem to be so busy at the holidays that you often don't get all of your holiday cards done?  I've decided to start Christmas in July and get a start on them now and I hope you will join me.   For this project, I stamped the candle holder in a circle to add a little more interest and design to the piece that is first noticed and I would like to challenge you to have some fun and try it, too!

You will need the following items:  Peg Rounds Christmas Stamps, Ink for stamping images and sentiment, Markers to color in images, a piece of ribbon, card stock to stamp on and for card base, patterned paper, stamping block, circle die (or object to use as guide), circle cutter or bowl to draw outside circle, scissors to cut circle (optional)

Begin by stamping 4 images in black ink around the guide that you have chosen.  Stamp them at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock.  Then, stamp the image in between those points to create a complete circle.
Use the larger guide you have chosen to create the outer circle and cut it out.
Color the images and stamp the sentiment in the center using a matching ink.  Use the ribbon to create a bow and glue it onto the bottom.  You can see here where I didn't have the last stamp completely centered and ended up with a small gap.  The bow helps to cover this up.  An easy fix.

Cut the card base and attach the patterned paper and then the circle and you have a fabulous card ready to be shared this Christmas!  One down and many more to go, but at least you'll be ready for the holiday season if you start now!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to have inspired you to start your cards early this year.  At least you'll have one thing you can cross off your "to do " list early.  Be sure to head over to the Sin City Stamps website and get the products you will need to start now.

Have a great day!
-Peg
