Halloween is on it's way....

Hello everyone, Astrid here from the UK. Today I want to share my first Halloween project with you.

As you can probably see, it's a shaped card with a little door. This was a fun and easy project to do.

1.Start by cutting two cabinet card shapes from Black card stock and one piece from the Robins nest black and white swirl paper.

Place the largest of the arches up side down on one of the cabinet cards and roll it through your die cut machine. That way it cuts the arch but not right through, giving you the chance to make an opening door by hand cutting the bits on the bottom and the left side of the arch.
2. Colour the black and white swirl paper with various red and yellow Distress Inks.

Adhere this piece to the cabinet card that does not have the door. This will become the back of your shaped card.
3. Emboss the other piece with copper embossing powder using various stamps from the Art Journaling set, as shown.

4. Next decorate the door by cutting an arch shaped piece from the same designer paper, but this time colouring it with green tones. Cut a smaller arch from black card, then stamp the little bottle from the Halloween set on white card. Colour with Distress Inks, fussy cut and then layer them all up as shown on the photo.

Embellish the door with some fall embellishments and use the Hitch Fastener as a door nob.
5. To decorate the inside of your card, stamp the witch in black archival onto white card and colour with distress inks, then carefully fussy cut and adhere to the back panel

Stamp a sentiment from the Halloween Set on the inside of the door with embossing ink and then emboss with copper embossing powder. Finally adhere the two panels together with foam tape for some dimension.
