Butterfly Dream Card

Hi everyone, and welcome back to the blog.  Barbara here with some more stamping fun.  Well, another month is almost over, and Fall is upon us, although the 90˚ temperatures here would not give any indication of that happening.  But, happen it will.  In the meantime, I still have these beautiful colors in my mind's eye, and I could not be more pleased with how this sweet card turned out.

Flying Witch Halloween Decoration

Night Flight (3)
I made this hanging pillow Halloween decoration with the Flying Witch from the Sin City Stamps Halloween Takes Flight stamp set.  For details on how to make the canvas in this picture, see this post.

I stamped the Flying Witch image onto a piece of tea dyed muslin with India Black Ink from Stewart Superior.  Stewart Superior provided us some inks to work with, and this one makes a nice, crisp image on fabric.  It helps to put your fabric on top of some craft foam when you stamp.  For more tips on stamping on fabric, see this post.

I added the text with ColorBox Chalk Ink in Pumpkin Spice.

On this sad day

Hello everyone, Astrid here, - so glad you dropped by today. Yes, as everyone knows, today is the sad day we commemorate the terrible events of 9/11. Did you realize it is now 12 years ago? I remember it as if it happened yesterday, - the world will never be the same again.

On a happier note, I have a card to share with you today, it is a tag card.
Below I will give you a quick step by step. I used two stamp sets:
Art Journaling with Terri Sproul and
Love of Butterflies

ART JOURNALING WITH TERRI SPROUL 2

Hello Friends!  Today I want to share an art journal piece I made using the Art Journaling with Terri Sproul 2 set and a stamp from the Love of Butterflies set.

I just wanted to show you why the Terri Sproul Art Journaling 2 set is so awesome.  There are a lot more stamps than the one's I'm showing with this set, but I wanted to show that the set comes with several stamps that are prompts!  If you are stuck for a theme in our journal, you can just stamp one of these and roll with it!!

Proud as a Peacock Center Step Card

Hey there, Sin City Stamps fans!  Barbara here with some more fun ways to use your Sin City Stamps.  Another month has passed and it is already September.  Hope everyone had a wonderful, fun, and safe Labor Day holiday.  I want to share a center step card with you today, and show you how to make your cards sparkle.  I have shown these on my blog before, but if you missed it, I linked to a template I found online, so proper credit can be given to that person.   What I love about these cards is that they can stand alone, like a framed piece of artwork, and displayed proudly by their recipient.

Here is my finished card.
