Gnome Rubber Stamp- Easy Slim Line Cards

 Hello, I am using a new set of stamps from Blank Page Muse today;
Shine Bright with a gnome, tree, and sentiment along with a matching start stencil.

Here are the slimline cards I created using this set.

This Gnome is so fun to color and there are so many possibilities!

For this first card:

  1. Use Distress Oxide inks for the background then stamp the tree and heat embossed it with green embossing powder.
  2. Next,  place the Star Stencil at the top of the tree and and gold emboss the star.
  3. Stamp, color, and cut out the gnome. Used foam tape to pop him next to the tree, and stamp the sentiment near the top.
Presto! A very quick card.

For the second card:
  1.  Used the Star stencil and place it randomly around the slim card using Distress Oxide inks in 3 colors to create the stars,  then stamp the sentiment at the top.

The Happiest Season of All Tag

Hi everyone! It's me Tonya and can you believe in less than a month Christmas will be here! For my project I know the stamp I used isn't Christmas but I want to show you how I created this fun Christmas tag using the Baby Sitting Smile Vintage Portrait Photo Stamp.

Supplies

MISTI Stamping Tool
Water Proof Black Ink
Various Inks and Watercolors
Water Color Paint Brush
Watercolor Paper
Paper Cutter
Scissors
Beacon Adhesive: Fabri-Fix and Zip Dry Adhesives
Various Diecuts and Embossing Folder
Various Cardstocks and Scrapbook Paper
#10 Tag
Cording and Thread
Snowflake Ornament
Trim and Mini Pom Pom

Start by placing the stamp onto the MISTI Stamping Tool, inking with a water proof black ink and stamping onto a piece of watercolor paper. A side note:  I carefully inked only the baby and not the "smile" sentiment that is on the stamp because I wanted to add a different sentiment.

Use an assortment of inks and watercolors to paint the baby image.

Next, ink a #10 tag with an assortment of different shades of blue and purple inks and once dry, use a Christmas embossing folder to add dimension to the tag.
Lightly go over the embossed areas with a minty green chalk ink.

I had purchased a 20 pack of silver snowflake ornaments at Walmart a few years ago for 80% off. I love using them in my projects when I get a chance and this tag is no exception. I used Fabri-Fix Adhesive to glue the snowflake to the tag.

Adhere the stamped image to a diecut frame and place foam pop dots to the back before placing over part of the snowflake and onto the tag.
Cut some foliage and the poinsettia diecuts from the Holiday Greens and the Funky Festive Diecut Sets.

Cut the sentiment from a Christmas paper pad and adhere to the side of the stamped image. Add a scrap of red cardstock in the shape of the hat, to the head of the baby along with trim and a mini pom pom.

There you have it! As always if you have questions about this project please let me know and if you aren't following Blank Page Muse on their social medias you can find them on:

Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Christmas Cards using stamps designed by Rick St Dennis

 Holiday Greetings!

I love making cards and stamping and Christmas makes the perfect time to combine those loves!

These cards feature Blank Page Muse's North Pole Holiday Line Art Rubber Stamp Set by Rick St Dennis and Blank Page Muse's Holiday Fun Set Line Art Rubber Stamps by Rick St Dennis. These images were so fun to play with! With 8 images in these sets you can stamp all 8 and then color whenever you have time!  Or stamp each image twice and you can have 16 cards!

To recreate these cards you will also need:

Archival Ink, Watercolors markers and water brush, textured card stock, card stock/marker paper, and sticker greetings

Stamp images with archival ink onto marker paper or card stock.  Note: normally I choose watercolor paper.  However, the texture of water color paper can decrease  the crispness of your images ... especially with detailed images.

Color you images with your water color markers and a water brush as desired. These images were super fun to color!

Once your images are colored and dry, mat onto textured card stock and add to card bases.  Finish with sticker greetings. I hope you are inspired to get creative and play along this month with Blank Page Muse.

Pretty in Pink for Xmas!

 Hi BPM Fans!

I hope you are enjoying our Easy Holiday posts this month and that we are inspiring you to get motivated for the upcoming holidays - we know time is always short at this time of the year so quick makes are always a bonus!

Today I am sharing a card that has a super quick but effective background to use with your BPM Xmas stamps! And I've gone "non" traditional with the colour scheme because it's more FUN than traditional!

Hope you enjoy!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: "Holli Winter Season" designed by Rick St Dennis
Blank Page Muse Stamps: "Seasons Greetings"
Base Card
Scrap card slightly smaller than base card front & scrap card for stamping focal image
Scraps of patterned and textured papers
Embellishments
General supplies: glue stick, glue, scissors, double sided tape, black ink pad, colouring mediums

Instructions:
Start by stamping your main image onto white card, colour with your fav colouring medium and fussy cut. Stamp a Xmas sentiment as well!

Next step is to "decorate" the card front. Tear your scrap patterned/coloured/textured papers into strips approx 1cm wide. Use a glue stick to adhere the strips over the scrap card which you have cut slightly smaller than the card base front. Make sure to overlap each torn strip so you cover the entire piece of card. Trim the edges and adhere the decorated piece to the front of your card base.

Arrange your main focal image, stamped sentiment and any embellishments onto the card front and adhere in place. You have a completed card!

Super quick, super easy and super effective!

Thanks for joining me yet again!

Have fun creating your Holiday Cards!

Winter Snowman Tag

Winter and Christmas time will be here very soon!  One thing I am always short of during Christmas time is gift tags!

So I decided to create a few with my Blank Page Muse stamps.   For this project I started with the Winter Snow Friends Bunnies & Snowman Rubber Stamp by Rick St Dennis.

Start by stamping your Winter Snow Friends Bunnies & Snowman Rubber Stamp by Rick St Dennis using archival inks.

Color your images with your favorite watercolor markers and a water brush.

After your image is colored, mat tag onto card stock.  Stamp your tag greeting using Penguins on Ice Winter Holiday Rubber Stamp Sheet and add a bow to finish your tag!  For a little extra sparkle you can add stickles to the falling snow in the background!

Classic & Elegant Poinsettia Holiday Card

I love red poinsettias, but can never make them live past Christmas. When I saw the humongous poinsettia bushes in Kona, Hawaii, I was convinced that they like warmer weather. I'm sharing today the beautiful poinsettia and sentiment stamps from Blank Page Muse Art Rubber Stamps called Classic Christmas Stamp Set by Pam Bray Designs

I'll be showing you how to make your own beautiful patterned paper with some scraps and washi tape then showcasing your card with the beautiful colored poinsettia stamp. I hope this inspires you to try make your own card and entering it in our monthly challenge, "Holiday Play."

All the supplies and instructions are listed below to make this A2 size card.

Supplies:

Instructions:
  • Stamp two of the poinsettias, color, and fussy cut. Set aside.

  • Turn your cardstock to the back and use scissors to trim off the excess black strips.
  • Adhere the gold washi tape in between each black stripe making sure that you have an overhang of 1/4" to fold to the back.
  • Using the 4" square white cardstock, cut out a 3" square with the die.
  • Using the other 4" square white cardstock, nest the 3" and 2-1/2" dies to cut out a frame.
  •  Add gold washi tape around the frame. Adhere the frame to the 3" mat then adhere onto the card front.
  • Adhere the poinsettias.
  • Adhere the card front onto the base cardstock.
  • Stamp the sentiment on white cardstock and trim to size. Use black cardstock to mat the sentiment and adhere to the card front.

  • Using a glitter pen, add some glitter to the centers and tips of the poinsettias.
  • Using a white gel pen, add some accent dots to the poinsettias.

Sugar Skull Candles and October Challenge Winners!

Hello BPM Fans! Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is a Mexican religious holiday that is celebrated November 1 and 2. Sugar skulls are decorated in bright colors and used as an offering celebrating the deceased. The sugar skulls have become popular in the art world and has become a favorite design, not just for celebrating the Day of the Dead, but also for wall art, decorative items, and even tattoos. Today, I am sharing a candle I made using several of the stamps from the Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls Marigold Flowers Sacred Heart Art Rubber Stamps designed by Donna Gray.

Try making one and join us in November's challenge. The theme is "Easy Holiday Play."

These candles are easy to make and you don't need very many supplies. They don't cost much to make and they are great gifts for any occasion. Let's get started!

Supplies:
Instructions:
  • Stamp the small sugar skull, sacred heart, and roses (stamp 2) with a black ink pad on tissue paper (I stamped 4 roses, but only used 2).
  • Stamp the hearts (stamp 2) with a red ink pad on tissue paper.
  • Color the stamps with bright colored markers. Color them any color you like.

  • Cut out the stamps leaving a small border. For the heart stamp, cut off the dots (or you can leave them).
  • Using a tape runner, add a dab of tape onto the back of the tissue then adhere to the candle. Work with one large stamp or 2 small stamps at a time!
  • Wrap a piece of wax paper around the candle, pulling it taut. Make sure there are no air bubbles.

  • Using a heat gun or hair dryer, apply heat over the stamp. When the stamp becomes shiny, it is adhered. Do not over heat or the candle will melt.
  • Unwrap the wax paper and repeat applying one or two stamps at a time using a new piece of wax paper.

  • For gift giving, wrap in cellophane and tie with a ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and will give this a try. Visit Blank Page Muse Art Rubber Stamps for more stamps you can use to make candles. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. Thank you for visiting! ~Betty~
