We 3 Kings

Hi BPM Fans!

Hope you have been enjoying the fun creations this month and hope you are all getting ready for Christmas?
I'm a bit of a Bah Humbug so today I am sharing a fun tag trio entitled "We 3 Kings" using a non traditional stamp as the focus - fun!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Skull with Crown Crow and Spider
Set of 3 Manila Packaging Tags
Scraps of textured or patterned or colored paper
White card and Black Archival Ink Pad or any color of your choice
Glue Stick and scissors
String or fibers and any other embellishments
Computer generated wording

Instructions:

Start by tearing the paper into approx 1cm wide strips - they need to be the width of the set of 3 tags.

Using your glue stick adhere the strips to the tags - overlap the strips to cover the tag you don't want to see any of the tag once you have covered it with paper strips. Allow the glue to dry and then use your scissors to trim around the tags and cut off the excess torn strips.

Stamp the BPM Skull image 3 times onto white card using the black ink pad and fussy cut.

Arrange the Stamped Skulls onto the set of tags and adhere. Add the computer generated wording to the bottom of the tag set and adhere.

Add fibres or string to the holes at the tops of the tags and also any other embellishments ie. sequins.

Your non-traditional Christmas Tag is ready!

I also used this idea to make a Creepmas card!

Thanks for joining me today!

Hope you can have some fun creating some "alternate" style Christmas tags and cards using this idea!

Happy stamping!

Sharon

Beginner Planner Design & Layout Using Just Stamps

Hey There, how are you today?

It's Kim today, and I want to share with you my first Planner! Wow!

I'm really new with a formal planner. I've always been a sorta keep it all in my head kind of gal, hahaha...but age and kids, yikes! So much going on!! Can I get someone to agree with that??

So onwards. One day I was shopping at Staples and saw some awesome S I M P L E planners on display. An easy system, pick out the cover you like and it comes with a notebook paper style book. You can buy another book with a format you like as well. Each book held inside the cover by some shiny stretchy elastic bands.

The side you see is about 4 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches. The "planner" insert books are about 4x7 inches.

For the extra planner notebook, I purchased a dot grid page style book. To get started blocking and decorating my pages, I used the Everyday Planner clear stamp set designed by Pam Bray.

I started stamping using my go to black Archival ink. I love the dark defined images. Then, I turned the page. The paper is a bit too thin so the ink bleeds through a bit much.

So I switched over to my Distress Inks and Distress Oxides. It's what I have on hand and in a bunch of colors. I love color and I get sort of bored when things are all the same!

I started with borders and then just kept stamping...

My layout idea uses two set of the same dates, one for the family things and then the other set for the work things. I used an extra stamp at the top to key the page, so at a glance see if it's family or a work page.

More colors and just filling in the dates and I have a couple of weeks done and ready to take notes!

I hope this helps and shows how easy it can be to make some really pretty and colorful planner pages using just stamps and inks you have on-hand!

Have an amazing and inky day!

Thanksgiving Planner Pages

Hi everyone! It's me, Tonya and I wanted to share my two page planner spread I created using Pam Bray's Planner Stamps. With this being the week of Thanksgiving and I have such a hard time keeping up with recipes I decided to include on the side of my planner notebook a recipe for deviled eggs. This is what I have to bring to my parents for our thanksgiving get together.

I used the Everyday Planner and the Fall is in the Air Planner Clear Stamps  to create these pages.

First I went around the edges of my pages with washi tape. I cut a piece of white sticker paper to fit next to the Monday side of the page, peeled the backing off and applied. Then I stamped the coffee mug at the top and the sentiments at the bottom before writing out the recipe. I also stamped the numbers 25 and 26 onto a piece of watercolored paper and used a circle punch on each and glued, along with a seal punch, next to the Monday and Tuesday at the top of the page.

I stamped the zip zag stamp twice, several leaves, pumpkin and the acorns onto patterned cardstock. I applied Adhesive Sheets to the back of the stamped images and fussy cut each piece out. I also cut a few flowers from a piece of cardstock to add to the pages as well.

I stamped the arrow with dots onto a sticker from the Happy Planner and I then added all the stamped images to both pages.

I filled out with an ink pen all my to do's. I also stamped the "Thanksgiving" sentiment onto patterned cardstock and added above my grocery list and added stickers from The Happy Planner and Momenta to fill in the pages. There you have it a quick overview of my planner pages. As always if you have any questions about these pages please let me know.

Holiday Tags Galore!

Hi everyone! Kelly on the blog today with more tags, I just love making tags for all kinds of gifts, occasions and just to hang on the tree! Here is another version of some tags I made using Blank Page Muse Stamps

Supplies -

Pine Tree Branch by Terri Sproul
Country Vintage Christmas by Pam Bray
Distress Oxide Inks - Forest Moss, Bundled Sage
VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink
Tombow markers in assorted colors
White Gel Pen
Shipping tags
Sequins
Stickles - Silver, White
Foam tape

Step 1 - Stamp the tags with Pine Tree Branch using the Distress Oxide inks, smooshing both colors over the stamps to get a variegated look. Set aside to dry.

Step 2 - Stamp the images from the Country Vintage Christmas onto white cardstock with the VersaFine Ink and color with Tombow markers in your choice of colors. These will then need to be fussy cut.

Step 3 - Turn over the tags and stamp the To/From on the back.

Step 4 - Assemble the tags with foam tape, add the sequins and Stickles to the tags. Let dry.

Step 5 - Add some matching color along the edges of the tag. Then using the white gel pen, add some dots of white on the tags for highlights. Then add your choice of ribbon or string.

Fall Leaves ATCs

Hello!  Susie on the blog today and I am still playing with leaves!

I swap ATC's (Artist Trading Card) with some of my friends and we tend to make the themes of the swaps seasonal.  I absolutely adore all of the stamps in the The Femmes collection, but they are too large to fit on an ATC.  This month I decided to use only a part of one of those images and I think it worked out beautifully!

Time to play...

Supplies:
The Femmes Fall Leaves Lady stamp, large
Clearsnap ColorBox Blends inks by Eileen Hull
Watercolor paper cut to ATCs - 2.5"x3.5"
Authentique  Paper
cardstock

Directions:
  • Position your stamp on a stamping platform and stamp image on a scrap paper.
  • Position ATC sized watercolor paper on top of the scrap paper to catch the part of the design you want.
  • Use a small amount of double sided adhesive on the back to hold it in place.
  • Stamp image.
  • Repeat this process until you have the correct number of ATCs for your swap.
  • Color images as desired.

When your ATCs are finished you can swap them *OR*  you can use them as focal images on cards!
(What a great idea!)

Looking at my collection of The Femmes stamps, I can definitely see more ATCs in my future!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!

November Planner Fun!

November always brings such warm thoughts and feelings. Spending time with family is always a good thing in my book! But one that must be done for all that to happen... a plan must be developed. The Fall is in the Air  and Everyday Clear Planner Stamps designed by Pam Bray are perfect! I can't wait to share my November Planner and shopping list.

Blank Page Muse Products Used:

Fall is in the Air Clear Planner Stamps
Everyday Clear Planner Stamps

Other Supplies Used:
Xyron Disposable Sticker Maker
Xyron Mega Tape Runner
Authentique 12 x 12 Calendar Collection (November)
Brea Reese Brush Pens
Momenta Explorer Cover and Inserts
Washi Tape
Ink Pad
Acrylic Block

I used the Brea Reese Brush markers to highlight and write the days of the month. I chose a several stamps from the Fall is in the Air set to mark special days and unused squares on the calendar. I used the November from the Everyday Clear Stamp set to stamp the top left of the calendar.

I used some paper from the Authentique 12 x 12 Calendar Collection and the Xyron Disposable Sticker Maker to make faux washi for the bottom of the November Monthly Calendar in the Momenta Explorer cover and inserts. I marked the paper and trimmed down to size and pulled them face up through the sticker maker.

I also added a few other elements from the Authentique  paper pack to adorn the bottom of the planner page. Some sparkly orange washi to decorate the top makes me smile!

The calendar planner page is finished by coloring in the stamped images.

I wanted to make the notes pages a little more festive and make the right side a Thanksgiving shopping list. I used several of the ephemera pieces in the Authentique paper pack. I adhered the pieces with Xyron Mega Tape Runner.

To complete the notes pages I stamped the tags and page opposite page with the beautiful flower and leaf border stamp from the Fall is in the Air set.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy November planner setup.

I will be sharing more Blank Page Muse Planner layouts on my Instagram as well.
Until next time....

Playing with Leaves!

Hello!  Susie on the blog today with more fall leaves.

One of my favorite things to do with my crafty friends is to play with the exact same rubber stamp and see how different the finished card, tag, atc, layout or page ends up!  I really love the  amazing detail in the large oak leaf stamp in Terri Sproul's Leaves Rubber Stamp set, so I thought I would make a couple of different style cards to share with you today!

Time to play...

Supplies:
Leaves Rubber Stamp Set Sheet by Terri Sproul
Scribble Hearts & Elements Mixed Media Set by Pam Bray
Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade, Gathered Twigs
Patterned paper
cardstock

Directions:

  • Position leaf stamp on a stamp platform and select inks.

  • Starting with the lightest color first, apply ink to stamp surface.

  • Create a variegated effect by inking parts of the stamp with different colors.
  • Continue adding colors until you are happy with the results.

Now you can take that image and create a CAS (clean and simple) card by adding a stamped sentiment, like this "thankful" one from Pam Bray's Scribble Hearts & Elements Mixed Media Set.  (I think it is perfect for this time of year, don't you?)

Or you can take the exact same image and distress and ink the edges, add layers and twine and a charm...

...to create a totally different kind of card!
.

Whatever your style, the important thing is to start with a great image and have fun!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!
Susie
