Steampunk lady

Hello to you all. Cathy N here with a steampunk lady card. I really love making steampunk art. I like how you can add gears and a octopus and a bit of rust and you got steampunk. At least for this card it does.

Stamps Used:
1887
Birds on wires by Terri Sproul
Octopus Lady
Steampunk word

Other supplies used:
Distress ink
Distress Oxide spray
Washi tape
Copper paint

Start out with a 4x6 piece of cardstock. Add some rusty colors of ink to the base of the cardstock. Then layer some Distress Oxide sprays to give it a rusty look.

Trim to fit on a A2 card base. Or leave it that size to make a postcard.

Next stamp Octopus Lady on the bottom of the card.

After you have Octopus Lady stamped start to layer your other stamped images on the card around it.

Stamp Steampunk word on the side and layer with some washi tape. Lastly before added it to a black card base take some copper paint and thin it down with water and splatter it over the front.

Love Vintage Style.....

Hello Again!!
Another month flying by! Hope you have all been enjoying our themes this month and feeling inspired to be creative with your Blank Page Muse Stamps.
Maybe you have been inspired to purchase some new stamps from the store!!!!!!

Today I am sharing some quick vintage style cards using a couple of the Dress Form stamps available in store - they are just perfect for these vintage style cards and they stamp so beautifully and have great detail!
You only need limited supplies to complete these cards. Don't just make one card - make several at once and you will have some in reserve for when you need a card in a hurry!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp Set: Mannequin Dress Form Tags
Blank Page Muse Stamps: Use Any Sentiments you have on hand!!!!!
Black Base Cards
Patterned Card
Kraft Card
Dark Brown Ink Pad
Stencil and Gesso
Brown Ink Spray
Scrap Muslin Cloth
Corner Charm
General Supplies: scissors, glue, double sided tape, spatula or sponge

Instructions:

To begin cut your patterned card so it is just smaller than the black base card front so when you adhere it to the card front there will be a black border around the patterned layer. Note: do not adhere the patterned paper to the front until after it has been "decorated".

Place your stencil over the patterned card and use a spatula or sponge to apply the white Gesso through the stencil. It is not necessary to cover the whole of the patterned card with gesso - the effect is better if you stencil about 2/3rds of the piece of card. Allow to dry.

Once the Gesso is dry use your brown toned ink spray to lightly add some colour over the gesso and patterned card. Mop up any excess and allow to dry. Adhere this piece to the black base card front with double sided tape. Spray your scraps of muslin fabric before putting your ink away!

Using the Brown ink pad stamp some of the Dress Forms onto the kraft card and fussy cut. Stamp your favourite Blank Page Muse Sentiment/Wording onto the kraft card as well and cut out.

Arrange all of your elements onto the card front and adhere. A completed quick, simple, little supplies card completed - perfect for last minute but still very effective and classy!!
Happy Stamping and hope your will join me again next month for some more inspiration!

Penguin Fun

Hello.  Gail here today with a terrible cute and very quick make.

Blank Page Muse Stamps Used:
Curious Penguin with Small Fish

Other Materials:
White Card Base
Black Archival ink
Red and Yellow Sharpie
Pumice Stone, Stormy Sky, Salty, Spiced Marmalade Ocean Distress inks
Water Brush

Squuueeeeee!  Isn't that little penguin just adorbs???  This is Blank Page Muse Curious Penguin with Small Fish.  You can also buy this penguin and some others the same style plus a load of small stamps as a sheet, Penguins on Ice Winter Holiday Stamp Sheet.  I think I will be using these a lot LOL.  Anyway, stamp the penguin and fish with black archival and colour some details with a red and a yellow sharpie.  Use Pumice Stone distress ink and a water brush on the penguin and his scarf, and Spiced Marmalade on the fish.  Do a water colour wash of Stormy Sky and Salty Ocean distress inks to make the background.  I did think about stamping Merry Christmas, but then I thought it could be a Hi! card.  Or a Hello Friend card.  Or a Hope you have a nice day card.  So many possibilities.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you get time to stamp something pretty today.  Hugz
